Sky TV is a digital satellite television and radio service that belongs to British Sky Broadcasting public company. Service is transmitted from SES Astra satellites.

This digital service was officially launched on October 1, 1998 under the brand name Sky Digital.

Firstly channel launched with a Sky digibox - set top box made by the company, later other boxes appeared. To connect the channel you are supposed to have one of those boxes and Sky viewing card (these cards can be issued to the residents of the UK and Ireland only).
